What is Teletherapy?

Teletherapy… tele-what?! Te-le-the-ra-py. Teletherapy uses live audio and video communication so that therapy services can be provided… just about anywhere! At Exceptional Speech Therapy, we offer speech and occupational teletherapy to eligible children throughout the state of Florida.

We use a parent-friendly, HIPPA compliant (privacy protected) platform, called Zoom, to connect your child with one of our highly trained specialists. Zoom enables our therapists to share screens so children can actively interact, participate, and engage with a variety of developmentally appropriate activities.

How does teletherapy work?

No matter your child’s age, teletherapy can work remarkably well. Some children participate in teletherapy with minimal parental help, while others require full parental involvement.
